Tc electronics m2000 manual
So I figured, at the low used prices, why not get an M? I'm really pleased with it. I don't blanket everything with it heavily, but it has nice plates and synthetic rooms.
Also nice that it has two effects engines. For what it's worth, I was messing around with one a couple of weeks ago at Inner Ear Fugazi, etc. It had a watery sound and nice spatial width but not too thin and I found it worked nicely on vocals. For some reason vocals were all I ever used that box for before selling it so I don't know how that reverb sound will work on synths.
I use it on synths, and I like it. Very good on snare. I also use the Valhalla range of verbs, but the TC has its place regardless.
It is a little more clinical, but not in that horrible early 80's onboard synth reverb way. Not thin. Hell, you can get software that costs a lot more. When I was at inner ear, we were running the TC over a whole mix of a 4-piece folk-rock group, and I was compressing the TC with an amek compressor. Thought it sounded fantastic. But we were just messing around, not committing it to tape.
The seller near me is asking the same price. It's too bad you didn't record that, I would have liked to hear it. That seems reasonable. Sorry, no recording.
Though the amazing Amek desk, fantastic room, great mics, and seasoned engineer probably factored into the sound a little I say go for it. If you don't like it, you'll get the same money back out. My next hardware verb, assuming I have enough cash, will be a Strymon Bigsky. I have a super cheapo Lexicon that does drum gating and snare slaps well enough. Then the seller of the M finally responded to my offer.
I suppose in the best GS tradition I will soon have both. I guess I'll see which I like better side by side. Iconography This icon identifies a description of how to perform an action with the mouse.
